Reigning Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) Season 11 champion, Haryana Steelers, strengthened its squad by adding veteran Naveen Kumar on the first day of the PKL 12 auctions in Mumbai.
Naveen, who has been with Dabang Delhi since his debut in 2018, was acquired for Rs 1.2 crore on Saturday. He played a pivotal role in helping Delhi secure its maiden PKL title in 2022, also winning the Most Valuable Player (MVP) award that season.
Known for his consistency, Naveen has often been hampered by injuries, which have kept him out for extended periods in previous seasons. Nevertheless, his resilience, ability to accumulate bonus points, and knack for securing Super 10s make him a valuable asset to any team.
Haryana Steelers, long in search of a reliable raider in attack, has secured one of the best in the business. If his fitness holds up, Naveen has the potential to be a game-changer in PKL 12.
