The Indian men’s and women’s table tennis teams on Thursday secured berths at the ITTF World Team Championships 2026 to be held in London.
Both teams remained unbeaten through the competition and ended in first place in the five-team South Asia Regional Championships in Kathmandu to advance.

India’s women’s contingent comprised Selena Selvakumar, Sayali Wani, Syndrela Das, Krittwika Roy, and Taneesha Kotecha. The men’s team included: Anirban Ghosh, Divyansh Srivastava, Abhinandh Pradhivadhi, Ronit Bhanja, and Akash Pal.
Sixteen teams from Asia will feature at the Team Championships, with four gaining direct qualification – one each from Central Asia, South Asia, Southeast Asia, and West Asia. The remaining 12 will be decided thorugh the Asian Championships.
