Pro Kabaddi League 11: Haryana Steelers becomes first team to qualify for PKL 2024 semifinals

Haryana Steelers became the first team to secure its spot in the semifinals of Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) Season 11 after a dominant 47-30 victory over U Mumba at the Balewadi Sports Complex in Pune on Sunday.

Following the match, Haryana Steelers’ coach, Manpreet Singh, said, “It doesn’t matter if we had won a few matches or lost a few (before this). All that matters is how you play on the day of the match; that’s what I have been telling the team.”

Manpreet also expressed pride in his team’s achievement, noting that this was the first time they had topped the league standings and became the first team to qualify for the semifinals. “This feels incredible,” he said, acknowledging the significance of this milestone.

Reflecting on the previous season, he mentioned the desire to learn from past mistakes and work towards winning the trophy this time around. “ It’s the first time that we have topped the table and become the first team to qualify for the semifinals as well.  In the previous edition, the Steelers lost to Puneri Paltan in a close 25-28 encounter in the final.
